9.6.2008 - Janne Tuohino cannot be seen in fourth round of Finnish Rally Championship

Finnish Rally Championship is returning on its' long three months spring break in next weekend at rally of Keski-Uusimaa. Fourth round of Finnish Rally Championship includes eight special stages and 90,3 special stage kilometres. Nearly all top Flying Fast Finnish rally drivers takes part of it. However one driver is missing from the start list - Season 2001 Finnish Rally Champion and currently in group-A third position driver Janne Tuohino cannot be seen in the rally.

Tuohino rallied three winter rounds with hungarian Korda Racing supported Subaru Impreza WRC'03. After troublefull events Tuohino decided not to continue gravel season with the team. Technically Subaru didn't work like Tuohino expected it to do and therefore he with his sponsors and partners made a decision to pass the gravel season opening round. Tuohino is focusing his thoughts for forthcoming WRC Finland.

– Risk for technical retirement was too big with Korda Racing Subaru Impreza WRC'03. I didn't want to start the special stages with the idea that the transmission might again jam during the stage. For all remaining four rounds I have to win or to become second. Therefore the technical problems I faced on all three winter rounds wouldn't help for the task. That's why we decided to focus our thoughts for WRC Finland, told Tuohino.

– Legendary WRC Finland is to be rallied in first weekend of August. Currently we're doing hard work to find a proper and especially competitive rally car for the fastest rally of the World Rally Championship series. At the moment we face a small problem because there aren't many competitive rally car available - and the rental prize is very high. Entries for the rally closes on 27th June and therefore we have to make imporant decisions very soon, Tuohino continues.
